ANEW Living is a step up transitional housing program. I acknowledge and understand that the maximum stay at ANEW Living is up to 24 months and the length of stay is contingent upon me and my household abiding by the rules and regulations set by ANEW Living.
Within 30 days of this agreement RESIDENT is required to meet with an ANEW Living representative to develop a personalized goal to obtain permanent housing. If resident intends to seek subsidized /low income housing options as part of their permanent housing plan they must provide proof of application to the appropriate HUD housing authority within 30 days of the date of this agreement.
All residents are required to attend monthly financial management related meetings/classes
The term of this agreement is six months. I /We understand that this agreement can be renewed up to three additional six month terms as determined by management.
I /We acknowledge there are certain benchmarks that must be met in addition to following the program rules in order for this program agreement to be considered for renewal at the end of each six month period.
0-6 months: First six months focuses on stability. During this initial six months you must strive to stay current on your program fees, have meet with an ANEW Living Representative to establish goals and discuss any potential road blocks that could prevent you from reaching your financial goals. In addition you must start building an emergency fund equal to one week's living expenses before the end of six months.
7-12 month renewal: continue to stay current on program fees and if you have been paying weekly you must begin to graduate to paying twice a month. Your emergency funds must be fully funded and verified.
13-18 month renewal: continue to stay current on program fees, must be on track to reach your savings goal to cover your move out expenses and start paying once month for your program fees before the end of this period.
19-24 months. Must be paying once a month for program fees, show evidence you are searching for housing and show evidence you are on still on track to save 100% of your estimated move out expenses before the end of this period.
DRUG AND ALCOHOL FREE POLICY: ANEW Living is a drug and alcohol free community. No illegal drugs or alcohol use is permitted. As part of our commitment to safeguard the well-being of our residents and to provide a safe environment for everyone, ANEW Living has established a drug and alcohol free policy.
The ultimate goal of this policy is to balance our respect for individual privacy with our commitment to keep a safe and drug-free environment. We encourage those who use illegal drugs or abuse alcohol to seek help in overcoming their problem. While this organization understands that residents under a physician’s care may be required to use prescription drugs, abuse of prescribed medications will face the same consequences as any other abuse of illegal substances.

ANEW Living is a sober community. Drugs or alcohol use is not permitted in or around common grounds of ANEW Living. Prior to entering property Residents/Guest cannot have drugs or alcohol of any kind in their system while on property
GUEST: No overnight guests allowed without prior written consent from management.
VISITORS:No visitors are allowed on property after 10PM or before 8AM.
PARKING: On property parking spaces are unassigned and open to residents, board members and donors only.
-RESIDENTS are responsible for oil leaks and other vehicle discharges for which RESIDENT shall be charged for cleaning if deemed necessary by ANEW.
NOISE: RESIDENT agrees not to cause or allow any loud noises or other activities on the premises which might disturb the peace and quiet of another RESIDENT and/or neighbor. Continuous loud or disruptive noise and/or activity could result is termination from this program. Quite time is from 10PM to 8AM.
Unacceptable Behavior: Verbal or physical acts ofaggression or violence towards staff or other residents will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination from property and program.
No Dumping of any large items in or around dumpsters. Place all trash bags in dumpster. All boxes must be broken down to lay flat prior to placing in dumpsters
Housekeeping: Residents are responsible for keeping their rooms clean and free of excessive trash or food waste.
-Residents are responsible for keeping their units (especially bathroom) free from any types of organic growth. Resident must do everything possible to minimize steam build up on walls. Avoid long hot showers especially if there are no vents or windows in your bathroom. Open bathroom door slightly while showering, short showers, etc. It is also recommended that the resident wipe down bathroom walls especially in un-ventilated rooms with a bleach type cleaner weekly.
NO Open Flames: No cooking with an open flame or use of candles inside unit
DO NOT dispose of any food or other waste down the sinks or drains.
Please notify management if you are going to be gone for more than five days at a time in case of an emergency.
Pet owners MUST:
- pick up after their pet.
- Keep their dogs on a leash at ALL times when outside their unit.
- Dogs left unattended for more than 4 hours must be kept in a kennel.
- Excessive barking may result in termination of pet privileges
- Do not flush cat litter, dog waste down sinks or toilets.
